Landis: I heared a sound. You heared that sound, Monni?

Me: No, I didn't hear it.

Landis: It was a pop. Pop! Pop!

Me: Oh.

Landis: What was it?

Me: I don't know. I didn't hear it.

Landis: What was it?

Me: I don't know.

Landis: (much louder) WHAT WAS IT?

Me: I still don't know, Landis. It doesn't matter how loud you ask, or how many times. I didn't hear it, so I don't know what made the sound.

Landis: Please can you know?

Me: I'm sorry, Landis, I just don't know what it was.

Landis: I think it was a balloon popping. I heared it loud in my ear.



I thought it was so cute that he thought I would be able to tell him about the mysterious noise if he just said please. I still have no idea what he heard. There aren't any balloons in the house right now to get popped, so it can't be that. He was standing near the window when he heard it, so maybe the neighbor kids were playing with their paintball gun or something...

Landis just called my parents' house to talk to his uncles and said "Hi, Caleb. Do you want to come to my house or not?" What happened to Caylo? His adorable mispronunciations are getting rarer and rarer - my little boy is growing up whether I'm ready or not!
